Northumberland Hall

We are excited to be working, (alongside Mosedale Gillatt     Architects) in the Stunning Grade1 listed Northumberland Hall in Alnwick - built in 1826 by the third Duke of Northumberland it was used as Alnwick’s assembly rooms. Arcades run along the north and south sides of the building, housing three retail units; original features include 19th-century fireplaces and chandeliers. Despite a recent programme of restoration and refurbishment, this building remains underutilised.

Bailiffgate Museum and Gallery, a volunteer-led organisation who run the award-winning Bailiffgate Museum & Gallery out of St Mary’s, Alnwick are leading on this project. Recent successes mean it has now outgrown these premises, and we are helping them with their vision to move to Northumberland Hall after capital works (subject to funding) in 2026.  We've previosuely supported the trustees with viabilty and feasbilty work, and now during the development phase are working with the professional team to support a Round2 applicaiton in Spring 25.  All things going well, we will project manage the Capital works during the delivery phase.

Keep coming back for more updates as the project progresses
