St Bartholomew's Church, Brighton

"Amanda has taken the lead on our feasibility at study at St Bartholomew’s.  It’s been a deeply complex project looking at housing options, restoration and redevelopment works in a grade I listed building.  Amanda’s research has shown tremendous depth and her ability to build relationships with local stakeholders and within the community makes clear the passion and determination she brings to her work.

Amanda has also worked creatively with the parochial church council, a group with limited experience and vision, but she has helped them to understand the options presented, given them confidence, and brought them along with her with great dexterity.  Amanda has met all her deadlines on time and communicates the next steps and process with clarity.  She’s also a real joy to work with"

17Nineteen (cultural venue)

"A few of some essential project management skills that Amanda y brings to successfully manage the restoration of the grade 1 listed, award-winning National Lottery Heritage Fund project. Amanda assessed potential risks, made conscious decisions to maximize benefits, and minimized delays during one of the most challenging periods in history. Budget control in monitoring costs, allocating resources efficiently, and secured a financial uplift to support COVID-associated costs of nearly £800K, ensuring the project was fit for purpose, delivered on time and in budget. Meeting a challenging timeline during COVID-19, Amanda effectively kept momentum with contractors and stakeholders through scheduling, prioritization, and time-tracking techniques.

Amanda’s leadership skills helped guide the project team, maintain professionalism, and foster collaboration. Amanda excelled in conveying project goals, updates, and expectations with clear communication to consultants, stakeholders, and team members. In handling unexpected challenges and adjusting plans, Amanda demonstrated flexibility and a solution-focused approach. Facilitating productive discussions, managing consultants and teams to resolve conflicts and challenges constructively, and ensuring that detailed project plans, tasks, and milestones were met. All while maintaining a high standard of professionalism, fostering positive relationships, emotional intelligence, and ethical behaviour."

Sudbury Arts Centre

"I have worked with Amanda for approximately six years, and she has been a positive and crucial member of the team to regenerate and repair Grade I Listed St Peter's Church as Sudbury Arts Centre, working throughout the development and capital phases of the project.  We are now working collaboratively on the operational phase of the project, and I couldn't ask for a more supportive or knowledgeable co-pilot to navigate the delivery of the National Lottery Heritage Fund approved purposes.

Amanda has approached all aspects of the project with professionalism, pragmatism and dedication.  In dealing with key stakeholders, she has been sensitive and empathetic in managing change, while encouraging and engaging new key stakeholders and partners, leading to a secure and sustainable future for the site.

She is extremely well organised, with a firm grasp on all aspects of financial management, and her knowledge of the National Lottery Heritage Fund complex processes around data gathering and reporting has been invaluable.  Her project management skills are second to none, building positive relationships with all key project partners including architects, contractors, and funders.  This ensured that the project has been delivered on time and within budget.

Amanda is a natural problem solver, seeking solutions during times of uncertainty as the cost of living began to impact on the delivery of the capital phase, with increases in capital costs and associated issues. I have no doubt that Amanda's input and support has contributed significantly to securing the best possible future for the site and has delivered a beautiful fit for purpose facility which has been visited by 33,000+ people, has delivered meaningful community projects including working with adults with learning disabilities and young people.  Sudbury Arts Centre has also been recognised by winning the Museums+Heritage 2024 Award for Conservation Project of the Year which judges said was due not only to exemplary conservation practice but because of the heart introduced by working together with The Bridge Project charity - a partnership that Amanda was instrumental in bringing together.  "
